Mirko Dakovic’s association with Sarasota goes back to his childhood. “I have been coming to Sarasota since I was 7 years old with my sister and my parents. Well over 4 decades later, I feel privileged to own a home in Sarasota County with my wife and 2 kids, and we consider Sarasota our second home,” he shared. Mirko expressed his investment in the Sarasota community on various levels and conveyed gratitude to the Paradise organization for providing him with the opportunity to bring his extensive skillset to the club.

Mirko Dakovic’s soccer journey began in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, where he was born and raised. He played his youth soccer primarily at the Oakville Soccer Club and had the privilege of representing Canada at the international level. His professional career saw him drafted by the Toronto Blizzard in the Canadian Soccer League. Mirko emphasized the importance of discipline, commitment, a high compete level, smart situational awareness, and being a team player.
